Mami Mia is a Filipina alt-pop artist known as The Bay Area Sweetheart, celebrated for the warmth, authenticity, and magnetic presence she brings to both her music and her real life. After a lupus diagnosis became a life-altering turning point, she committed fully to her artistry, creating hook-driven music that encourages listeners to see life through her rose-gold-tinted lenses.

Blending late-’90s and early-2000s melodic nostalgia with airy modern pop and subtle R&B textures, Mami Mia balances sweetness and swagger. Her sound carries the softness of Jhené Aiko, the rebellious edge of Gwen Stefani, and the playful bite of Doja Cat, all filtered through her unmistakable Bay Area attitude.

An Official SXSW Artist (2024), Generation Now Writing Camp alum, and Grammy U member, she has earned national recognition as a semifinalist in both the Unsigned Only Music Competition and the International Songwriting Competition. Her songwriting honors include BeatStars’ “Most Likely to Write a Hit Song” award and HRDRV’s 2024 People’s Choice Award. SXSW Official Artist

For the first time in her career, Mami Mia was invited to perform for the Futuristic Femmes showcase at South by Southwest (SXSW). She had an alluring set at Marlow Bar in downtown Austin, TX alongside other talented women making waves in the industry.

In a music community with over 5,000 members, Mami Mia was chosen to receive the "People's Choice Award," by community votes.

JHNY WZDM's "222" Award

During her time at HRDRV, she was awarded the "222" Award, established by JHNY WZDM to honor his late brother. Recipients of this award are acknowledged for their drive and relentlessness in answering their calling.

Beatstars "Most Likely To Write a Hit Song"

During Mami Mia's time as a Beatstars Campus Marketing Rep, she was named "Most Likely to Write a Hit Song," amongst her cohort. Additionally, she earned the 3rd highest amount of signups during the program.

2020 & 2021

Semifinalist -- ISC and UO Songwriting Competitions

Mami Mia's songwriting abilities have been recognized as she has been a two-time semifinalist in the 2021 International Songwriting Competition (ISC) and 2020 Unsigned Only Songwriting Competition, for her songs "Sweet History" and "Sugar Eyes."
